Overview

We're Hiring: Quality Engineer  • Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk  • Full-Time  • Salary: £35k-£40k

A growing and innovative engineering business based in Mildenhall, Suffolk is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join its team. In this key role, you\'ll support the Quality Manager and work across departments to maintain and continually improve quality standards both internally and externally with key customers and suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and is ready to take ownership of quality processes.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Quality Manager in day-to-day quality activities
  • Maintain communication with customers and suppliers on quality matters
  • Manage the non-conformance register and publish monthly KPI reports
  • Monitor and analyse customer performance metrics and targets
  • Support and prepare for customer audits and site visits
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with the QMS
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Visit customer sites for meetings and performance reviews
  • Perform additional quality-related duties as needed
What You\'ll Need to Succeed
  • Required: Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and related quality systems
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure in live production scenarios
  • Confident in communicating technical issues in customer-facing situations
  • Able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Proficient with computer systems and adaptable to new software
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Desirable: Project management experience
