Quality Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Advanced Detection Systems team. This role is critical in ensuring world‑class standards for our RTT X‑ray systems used in security screening. You'll work across engineering, production, suppliers, and service teams to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute QA strategies to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support product development and engineering with quality input.
  • Manage internal audits, corrective actions, and third‑party/customer audits.
  • Maintain ISO9001 Quality Management System and calibration processes.
  • Investigate quality issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
  • Liaise with suppliers for inspections and incoming quality checks.
  • Lead Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Quality, Engineering, or Electronics preferred.
  • Quality Auditor certification.
  • 3‑5 years' experience in Quality Assurance (electromechanical environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 QMS requirements.
  • Experience with mechanical measuring equipment (CMM or FARO arm advantageous).
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, SPC, and structured problem‑solving techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings; GD&T knowledge is a plus.
  • ERP experience (D365 preferred) and proficiency in Office365.
