Overview

Location – Oxford OX1

Salary – £25-30ph

Do you have experience within QA for the cleanroom assembly of high-precision opto-mechanical instrumentation? Join a world-renowned research organisation involved in pioneering space flight projects. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a world-renowned research organisation to assist with projects focused on the build and testing of instrumentation to be used in spaceflight missions. You will be responsible for providing QA oversight of high-precision cleanroom assembly and testing of opto-mechanical assemblies and scientific instrumentation.

Role Overview
  • Temporary, Full Time or Part Time (minimum requirement of 3 days per week) Start Date in October 2025, expected End Date in March or April 2026. £25-30ph DOE.
  • Witnessing and oversight of assembly and testing of high-precision opto-mechanical assemblies and instruments.
  • Production and maintenance of QA documentation and traceability registers.
  • Ensure all work and documentation aligns with existing QA standards and ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardisation) standards.
Requirements
  • Strong Prior experience of practical QA processes within a high-quality, low volume opto-mechanical manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment with high-precision scientific instrumentation or opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards would be highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of high precision metrology techniques highly beneficial.
  • Must be available to begin in October in Oxford.
