The role

As a Quality Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be supporting our quality team in delivering excellence across critical defence projects. This role is vital to ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality assurance and control. You’ll be part of a team that helps safeguard national interests and contributes to a safer world.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance Engineers to update the internal audit programme and non-conformance register.
  • Support the team in preparing reports and correspondence aligned with the project quality reporting calendar.
  • Follow up on quality-related actions and commitments, ensuring accurate progress tracking.
  • Assist in planning and delivering quality assurance activities including meetings, workshops, and communications.
  • Escalate quality-related matters to the Quality Management team for resolution.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, based at Warrington, Cheshire, with flexible working patterns available depending on your location.

Essential experience
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting meetings and handling data for reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and in line with classification protocols.
Qualifications
  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Security Clearance
