Vacancy - Quality and Environmental Manager

Your role

As an integral part of our EHS Team within the Containers Division at the Port of Liverpool, you’ll lead the management of our Integrated Management System (IMS), covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. You’ll lead with facilitating internal and external audits, liaising with operational teams to ensure timely closure of actions, and championing environmental responsibilities to help us meet our NetZero by 2040 goal.

This is a hands-on role that demands initiative, resilience, and a passion for quality and sustainability. You’ll be surrounded by a professional team that’s eager to support, collaborate, and help you grow. With Health & Safety as our number one priority, you’ll play a key role in shaping a safer, greener future.

What you\'ll bring

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing IMS (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) – this is essential
  • A strong understanding of safe systems of work
  • A passion for environmental management and sustainability
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
  • A proactive approach to EHS and continuous improvement
  • The ability to coach and influence operational and engineering teams
  • Strong report writing and data analysis skills
  • Sound IT proficiency
  • Ideally, an Auditor qualification
  • A valid UK driving licence
