Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team and provide high quality teaching and support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism spectrum condition, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social‑emotional mental health needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering personalised lessons that inspire progress and build confidence in learners with additional needs. Working closely with support staff, therapists and parents, you will create a nurturing and structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed.

  • Designing and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Working collaboratively with SENCO, teaching assistants and external professionals.
  • Supporting the development of social, emotional and communication skills alongside academic progress.
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress in line with EHCP outcomes.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates small steps of success.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience of teaching pupils with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support learners with autism, ADHD and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with families and professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
