The Role
  • Deliver Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 to students with ASD and complex needs.
  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with individual EHCPs and differentiated learning needs.
  • Use a range of visual, practical, and sensory-based approaches to engage learners.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure holistic development.
  • Assess progress regularly and provide feedback to staff, parents, and external agencies as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching Maths (KS3/KS4); SEND school experience is highly desirable
  • Understanding of ASD, sensory processing needs, and communication challenges
  • Patience, flexibility, and creativity in adapting lessons to suit individual learners
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Aspire People)
