Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join a leading food manufacturer in Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working as a QA who is ready to take the next step into management.

The Role

As Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving site accreditation, preparing for announced and unannounced audits, and ensuring compliance with customer codes of practice. This is a hands-on role with around 70% of your time based in the factory, working closely with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and run the internal audit programme, communicating outcomes and ensuring non-conformances are effectively closed.
  • Prepare for customer and third-party visits, ensuring actions and expectations are clearly communicated across the site.
  • Review and implement new customer codes of practice, completing gap analyses and updating procedures accordingly.
  • Contribute as part of the HACCP team and support the development and review of HACCP studies.
  • Deliver monthly non-conformance reviews and implement preventative measures where required.
  • Conduct process audits for new product launches, validating documentation and ensuring equipment and processes meet specification.
