Position
Quality Assurance Software Tester – you will ensure that our games run smoothly and deliver a brilliant and exciting user experience. Please note that the role is fully on-site at our Chadderton site, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of testing methodologies, the QA process, and the development life-cycle.
- Run functional, performance, usability and compliance tests for UK and International gaming products, and for updates to the platform software.
- Find and report issues on game software in a clear and accurate manner.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks from requests to the QA team (e.g., reproducing field issues).
- Highlight improvements to testing and work processes; provide support to other L&W Gaming departments as needed.
- Complete other testing tasks as assigned by the Test Lead or Senior Tester.
- Test games or gaming products; run functional, usability and performance tests on different projects.
- Update test scripts/plans with additional test cases or create them from scratch.
- Bug tracking software usage and reporting issues clearly.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving/analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Computer literate with excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to various test tasks as needed.
- Ability to learn quickly product functionality and test tools.
Qualifications
- Experience with testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to work on own with minimum supervision and flexibility to handle different tasks.
- Desirable: Knowledge of JIRA and Testrail.
