Job description

We are working with a well-established contractor who are looking to appoint a QA Manager to take full ownership of their Quality Assurance function. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving QA processes across the business, reporting directly to director level.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the company's Quality Assurance systems and procedures.
  • Take full ownership of QA across all projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality strategies, policies, and audit programmes.
  • Provide QA guidance and support to project teams from tender stage through to completion.
  • Work closely with directors and senior management to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Manage QA documentation and records, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and mentoring to embed a strong quality culture within the business.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within the subcontract or main contracting build sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of QA frameworks, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of a QA function and deliver improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to report into director level.
  • Detail-driven, methodical, and proactive in ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Relevant QA/ISO certifications desirable.
