Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in the East Midlands is seeking a QA Technologist for night shifts on a 4 on 4 off schedule. This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in food manufacturing, with a strong focus on quality assurance processes. The successful candidate will maintain production documentation, conduct compliance checks, and lead audits to ensure product safety and quality. Competitive salary of £33k PA along with various benefits, including healthcare and bonuses, are offered for the right applicant.

QA (Nights 4 on 4 off)

Are you an experienced QA professional looking to join a well-established, growing food manufacturer? Our client is a market-leader with over 100 years of expertise, and due to continued success, they are expanding their QA team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in food production, a passion for high standards, and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

QA Technologist Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all production paperwork is completed accurately and in real time
  • Maintain audit-ready site and product documentation
  • Carry out compliance checks on equipment (temperature probes, scales, fridges etc.)
  • Conduct GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic and Fabrication audits across the site
  • Complete PQE sessions to verify product safety, quality and customer requirements
  • Lead sampling, swabbing and investigations into non-conformances
  • Act as the CCP expert on-site, delivering training and validating understanding
QA Person's Specification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in food manufacturing
  • Level 2 HACCP & Food Safety qualification
  • Strong attention to detail and confident decision-maker
  • Ability to work night shifts on a 4 on / 4 off schedule
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
