Overview

Our established manufacturing client is looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing & Materials Manager.

The Purchasing & Materials Manager will lead and mentor the Purchasing and Inventory Teams to ensure the supply of materials and services to the business, fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting the purchasing team to source, order and manage components and materials
  • Work closely with Suppliers to manage SLA’s and on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate stock levels of inventory and consigned stock
  • Ensuring the store\'s area is well organised and efficient
  • Oversee material flow to maintain optimal inventory levels that support on-time customer delivery
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate planning and highlight any supply issues
  • Lead materials management projects
  • Determine and drive continuous improvement projects
  • Manage the QMS systems
Qualifications
  • Experience in leading and developing successful Supply Chain Teams (purchasing, inventory and warehousing)
  • Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Experience of using ERP/MRP systems, teamed with Excel Skills
  • Experience of working in a medical-accredited environment would be highly advantageous
  • Team player who will build strong working relationships with colleagues to support the growth and profitability of the business
  • Passion for continuous improvement and projects
