You will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the direction and supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans. Job responsibilities

Working part-time 22.5 hours a week, you will support the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and under the supervision of a Senior/Principal/Consultant or Lead Psychologist.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring that the patient is engaged in their care pathway.
  • Supporting clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
  • Developing new initiatives and ways of working within the service.
  • Collaborating with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways.
  • Developing and managing group work programs and innovative therapeutic approaches, ensuring appropriate outcome measures are in place.
  • Maintaining high standards of professional practice and ethics, complying with clinical governance standards.
Requirements
  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology from the British Psychological Society or a recognized training body, enabling registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working with clients with complex needs relevant to the service population.
  • Skills in psychological assessment and formulation, with an aptitude for learning new methods.
  • Experience with risk assessment/management tools and formulation.
  • Clinical therapy skills in one or more therapeutic modalities.
