A reputable law firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Department to join their London or Herts office. The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE. Responsibilities include leading a team, engaging with clients, and ensuring high standards in commercial work. This position also requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to team management, promoting growth and support within the department.

They wish to hire a Head of Department in their London or Herts office. Ideally the candidate will be a UK qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE.
You will be a dynamic and personable individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work well and manage a team. You should enjoy working in a client-facing position and be able to develop rapport. Experience in training or mentoring juniors is advantageous.
The work is primarily commercial work on a B2B basis, from time to time there is some residential. Whilst we are looking for a Head of department, this person must be prepared to get their hands dirty as well as develop, grow and lead a team.
