Housing Project Worker
Hope Lodge, Sutton Road, Southend On Sea SS2 5PF
£14.01 per hour
Part time hours available

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Mental Health Service, Hope Lodge, Southend On Sea.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  1. Providing support to encourage our customers with mental health needs to maximise their own potential and independence
  2. Supporting progress towards independence in managing positive mental health while sustaining a tenancy
  3. Offering one-to-one support as required mainly around tenancy management, rents and repairs
  4. Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments
  5. Maintain health and safety across the scheme, managing day to day tasks and raising or chasing maintenance issues
  6. Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained
  7. Delivery of house meetings with the residents of the scheme
  8. Building and maintaining the relationship with the support provider and external organisations as required

Skills and experiences:

  1. Previous experience of working with adults with mental health needs
  2. You may have lived experience of using mental health services and will have the knowledge and understanding to relate and empathise with people with mental health issues
  3. Experience working within housing or an understanding of this
  4. Knowledge of the welfare benefits system
  5. Supporting people in crisis
  6. Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations
  7. Experience developing and maintaining accurate records and completing risk assessments
  8. Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications
