Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Homelessness Service, Selwyn House, Dereham.

Employment Type: Project Worker
Location: Cannell Court, 2A Roundwell Road, Costessey, Norwich, Norfolk, NR5 0PA
Pay: £13.34 per hour

Role Overview

The Project Worker will support individuals who have experienced homelessness to maximise their potential and independence. You will assess needs, develop and update support plans, and act as the first point of contact for all customer queries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to encourage our customers who have faced homelessness to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Assess customers’ needs by writing and updating support plans
  • Serve as a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
  • Develop relationships with customers, ensuring their personal choice, privacy and dignity are maintained
  • Liaise with external support links to improve customers’ confidence, health and wellbeing, and offer training and encouragement toward employment and education
  • Handle occasional emergency situations
  • Keep accurate and high‑quality written records
Skills and Experience
  • Experience working with adults who have experienced homelessness
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "can‑do" attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Strong organisational skills and functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines and targets
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards one is essential
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
