Overview

Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively on behalf of our Aberdeen-based client to source a Project and Engineering Planner on a fixed term contract for 3-6 months. The role reports to the Head of Projects and will work closely with Engineers and Projects being responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting on project schedules, ensuring alignment across teams, tracking progress, managing risks, and supporting decision-making through effective planning and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and share schedule updates with key stakeholders.
  • Create, manage, and adjust detailed project schedules in MS Project, aligning engineering outputs with production timelines.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and production teams to gather input and confirm schedule accuracy.
  • Track progress against the baseline plan and update forecasts when needed.
  • Integrate planning information with document control systems and production planning tools.
  • Produce regular reports highlighting schedule status, risks, and milestones for management.
  • Highlight potential resource shortfalls and recommend reallocations where necessary.
  • Take part in project meetings, providing planning input and recommendations to support decisions.
  • Assess the scheduling impact of scope or change requests and feed into change control processes.
  • Apply planning practices that comply with company standards and recognised best practice.
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives within both project management and engineering functions.
Qualifications
