Overview

Title: Senior Site/Project Manager
Location: Newport office
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + £5k car allowance + package

Senior Site/Project Manager - The Company:
Our client is a long-established main contractor based in the Newport area, specialising in fast-track and high-end refurbishment and fitout projects across commercial offices and public sector projects typically from £100k to £1m. Projects are primarily refurbishment and fitout, with occasional small new build elements up to £1m. Projects can be nationwide, with occasional site cover required for short periods; otherwise based at the Newport office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall delivery of projects on site, supported by the commercial team.
• Report to a Contracts Manager and work within a growing business to achieve project goals.
• Manage on-site activities for a typical refurbishment/fitout project, often with site requirements in London.
• Ensure delivery in line with time, cost, and quality targets.
• Demonstrate H&S leadership and drive safe working practices on site.

Person specification / Qualifications

• Solid, progressive permanent experience with main contractors.
• Demonstrable experience delivering fast-paced refurbishment projects (essential).
• Experience on commercial or local authority projects.
• Proven track record in managing site health & safety.
• Innovative—able to identify better ways of delivering tasks.
• High-calibre individual committed to quality and programme.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time.
• Good team player who wants to be part of a growing business and achieve shared goals.
• Willingness to commute to the Newport area and stay away during the working week as required.
