What we are recruiting for

Bovis is currently recruiting for a Project Manager who will manage the remedial construction projects in the Northwest.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide project leadership and support to ensure project management activities comply with Bovis health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Deliver technical, commercial and operational support, manage costs and create a supportive, collaborative environment, meeting client expectations and enhancing Bovis reputation.
  • Establish productive liaison with design team, project/site team, commercial, client teams and supply chain to maximize expertise.
  • Liaise with Design Manager and coordinate consultant team and supply chain to mitigate design risk and maximize client value.
  • Lead overall execution of construction projects from initiation to completion, creating detailed strategy, plan, schedule and driving delivery to maximize outcomes.
  • Implement and comply with all company safety requirements across staff, contractors and work practices, actively managing and mitigating project risks through comprehensive understanding and collaboration.

Skills
  • Obtain required security clearance for the role.
  • Prepare short, medium and long-term programmes to coordinate strategies delivering work packages.
  • Manage package risks and drive opportunities to maximise value.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical and non-technical, to clients, supply chain, peers and stakeholders.
  • Adapt to changing working methods to suit new challenges.
  • Ensure delivery of work packages and commercial target improvement.
  • Communicate effectively and lead the construction delivery team and workforce.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of current construction laws, legislations, regulations, standards and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery of construction projects.
  • Experience managing multiple supply chains, including sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Experience dealing with clients, contractors and construction activities.
  • Experience managing consultants to ensure design and quality assurance deliverables are achieved and recorded.
  • Design, procurement, construction and delivery experience.
  • Experienced in and capable of being part of a bid team and undertaking pre-construction planning.
