Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in the commercial strategy team to successfully deliver strategic complex commercial projects to achieve the stated benefits realisation including any forecast efficiencies and savings. Working in collaboration and under the general direction of the Commercial Implementation Manager/Director of Economy and Growth.
  • To provide strategic commercial project management level oversight and expertise across key complex commercial projects.
  • Represent the Commercial Implementation Manager/Director of Economy and Growth as required at various forums including project boards, Corporate Management Team, workshops.
  • To plan, commission, implement, performance monitor and evaluation of complex projects. Assist in the management of risks to the projects successful outcome.
  • To support the commercial projects in the successful design, solution and management of complex strategic programmes requiring innovation and challenge and to be responsible for the ongoing benefit realisation including efficiencies and savings to the Council that align to customer needs and corporate priorities.
  • To be responsible to the Commercial Implementation Manager/Director of Economy and Growth throughout the commercial business change lifecycle and actively participate and contribute at key meetings.
  • To have a thorough and robust knowledge to enable the delivery of complex commercial projects to deliver both income generation and cost recovery at a strategic level that align to customer needs and corporate priorities.
  • To communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.

An industry standards qualification in Project Management or to be educated to degree level is desirable (or clearly demonstrate significant relevant professional experience).
