Overview

Location: Bristol or London (3 days a week, hybrid working arrangements). Employment basis: Permanent and full-time. You’ll need to be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when business needs require, typically 3 days per week, though this may vary by team or project. Salary: Competitive dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits. Closing date: Tuesday 14th October 2025.

Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the UK’s most exciting and largest megaprojects. Sizewell C is the UK’s next nuclear power new build project, following the success of Hinkley Point C. The project has planning approval and has started construction, with Financial Investment Decision (FID) secured, guaranteeing delivery of the full project lifespan. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years and support the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 goals.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the Balance of Plant (BOP) delivery programme. The Conventional Islands – Balance of Plant (CI-BOP) programs oversee all activities related to engineering contracts up to £100m, securing resources that meet business and technical requirements, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, and within budget. The CI-BOP Programme is divided into three sub-programmes: CI, HSK (Heat Sink), and BOP. You will work closely with the Sizewell C supply chain team, the Responsible Designer (RD), the Sizewell C quality team, and suppliers to prepare for and execute the delivery phase. The Project Manager will focus on the Conventional Islands – Balance of Plant (BOP) delivery programme.

  • Own budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage complex interfaces.
  • Apply technical leadership to uphold high standards of execution and compliance.
About You

You’re an experienced Project Professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects from concept to completion. You bring a blend of technical know-how and strategic insight across key areas:

  • Engineering & Project Lifecycle – Leading projects from design to commissioning.
  • Commercial Expertise – Managing high-value contracts, controlling costs, and resolving claims.
  • Risk & Quality Management – Ensuring operational excellence in high-pressure environments.

What sets you apart is the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable strategies, build trust, engage stakeholders, and motivate teams to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering within large-scale industrial plant environments.
  • Proven success coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement activities, driving teams to meet key deadlines.
  • Strong grasp of major project complexities, particularly with interfaces between different scope areas.
  • Experience in project management or project engineering across the full lifecycle from concept to handover.
  • Confident communicator with client-facing and contractor-facing experience.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
