An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Commercial and Programmes team based at our Winsford site. As a Project Manager you will manage the day to day running of assigned contracts for customer projects within the defence and other regulated industry sectors in the UK and overseas.

What you will be doing
  • Monitor, control and manage the overall project performance to address deviations from plan in line with company standard processes.
  • Influencing and management of key internal and external project/programme stakeholders.
  • Regular reporting and updating to convey ideas, expectations, and information to the project team, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Support or lead, where appropriate, the drafting, negotiating and amendment of allocated proposals and contracts in accordance with all relevant processes.
Key responsibilities
  • Overall accountability: Responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget, and to quality/scope.
  • Planning & execution: Develops the overall project strategy, defines scope, builds the schedule (with coordinator support).
  • Leadership: Leads the project team, manages stakeholders, motivates people, and resolves conflicts.
  • Decision‑making: Approves changes, manages risks and issues, and decides on trade‑offs (time vs cost vs scope).
  • Stakeholder engagement: Communicates with sponsors, customers, executives, and external parties.
  • Authority: Owns the project budget, resources, and final delivery.
Position Qualifications
  • Relevant Project Management qualification such as APM or equivalent experience working within a similar role
  • Proven track record in project management, achieving and exceeding targets
  • Strong in strategic and analytical thinking, taking initiative, managing challenges in changing business environment
  • Excellent networking and stakeholder management.
  • High integrity, good work ethics, strong drive, customer focus
Preferred requirements
  • Bid Management and Estimating experience
  • MS Project or Equivalent
  • Experience with single source or NEC contracts
  • Engineering OR Manufacturing background
