Project Manager - Industrial Automation

Salary and Location

£50,000 - £80,000 DOE + Pension + Car Allowance

Newcastle. Project Values £20K - £3M

Overview

Were working with a fast-growing, independently owned automation specialist delivering cutting-edge control systems to some of the most recognised names in the industry. Supporting food & beverage, pharmaceutical and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear. Responsibilities
  • Technical leadership and general management
  • Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all projects ensuring they are on time, to budget and meet agreed specifications
  • Cultivating existing customers and repeat business through delivering technical projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • First point of contact and manage all client issues
  • Working with leading organisations on multiple projects in a variety of sectors
  • Provide cost effective control solutions including bidding and reviews prior to submission
Qualifications / Experience
  • Prior experience working within a Systems Integrator highly desirable
  • High calibre ambitious and self-starter, control and automation professional
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Food and Beverage, FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Process, Manufacturing, Utilities
  • Have previously managed automation projects e.g. PLC, HMI, Drives, SCADA
  • Experience in, or good working knowledge of, automation software e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, Ignition
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of cost effective projects encompassing control solutions within an industrial or process automation environment
  • Excellent communication and client management skills

Office based in Newcastle commutable from; South Shields, Sunderland, Consett and Blyth.
