A global technology company in Cumbernauld is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in the Gas Analysis business. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of project management experience and a strong background in leading global teams. The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering and E&D initiatives spanning the US, UK, and other global locations. This role includes planning and execution of all project-related activities for new products based on existing and emerging technologies in the Gas Analysis business. A critical part of this role is the ability to establish a detailed project plan, drive progress and communication across functional areas, and ensure successful delivery aligned with long-term global objectives. On-time completion and quality of work are essential.
The Project Manager is the focal point of contact for any project related issues or discrepancies arising prior to escalations to higher authorities.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:You are someone who leads projects from start to finish, ensuring goals are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality. You balance team coordination, planning, problem-solving, and collaborator communication.
For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, product development, petroleum, or a related technical field;
Having 7–10+ years of project management experience, along with 3–5 years of leading global or multi-site engineering/E&D projects adds customer value;
Proven success in new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects;
Proficiency in project management approaches (Stage-Gate, Agile, or hybrid) and proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Project for the Web, Planner);
Proven track record in project management is required. The employee must be able to work with different technical and functional subject areas, as well as being able to handle shifting and conflicting priorities;
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Project Management Professional (PMP), PMP, or equivalent certification;
Experience working in a matrix organization with global cross-functional teams;
Knowledge of engineering change management processes and product lifecycle management systems;
Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
