A leading aerospace services company is seeking an experienced Project & Enterprise Risk Manager for a role based in Shrewsbury, with a focus on overseeing project risks and enhancing operational performance. This is a full-time contract position requiring onsite presence three days a week. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Job description

You must be able to obtain Security Clearance for this role.

Carbon60 is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project & Enterprise Risk Manager to provide professional monitoring and control to a flagship helicopter service delivery contract. This role is based in Shawbury and requires you to be onsite a minimum of 3 days a week.

As the Project & Enterprise Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple modification and upgrade projects across the company's fleet in order to maximise capability and serviceability.

Key Responsibilities of the Project & Enterprise Risk Manager:
  • Manage and control the planning baselines to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of multiple projects
  • Identify, analyse and manage project risks, developing robust contingency plans to ensure operational continuity, minimise service disruptions and ensure financial stability
  • Conduct Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis using statistical methods and data-driven simulations to assess how uncertainties and risk will impact project timelines
  • Provide regular, insightful reports on project performance, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Implement robust systems and dashboards to provide clear visibility of performance, progress, and key metrics, empowering teams to make informed decisions and achieve operational excellence
Requirements for the Project & Enterprise Risk Manager:
  • Extensive project management experience with technical and/or commercial roles within the aerospace industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Practical experience of Project Management, Sword Active Risk and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) toolset to expert level
  • Recognised Project Management Accreditation or significant equivalent experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels
  • Understanding of the armed forces and their network, either through direct experience or as a civilian stakeholder
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations, Part 145, Part CAMO, and the airworthiness regulators

This is a contract role offering full time hours along with both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates.
