The role

As a Project Controls Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Site Investment Portfolio team, driving the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects that support the UK’s submarine capability.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead the Matrix Planning Team, offering functional expertise and training, while managing baseline budgets, integrated project schedules, and risk registers to drive mitigation strategies. You'll also ensure change management processes align with business and contractual requirements.

  • Leading and guiding the Matrix Planning Team with functional expertise and training.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining project baseline budgets.
  • Creating and managing integrated project schedules.
  • Overseeing risk and opportunity registers and driving mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring change management processes align with business and contractual requirements.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Project Controls Lead
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in quantitative risk analysis.
  • Proven track record across full project lifecycles.
  • Exposure to diverse projects across various products and services.
Qualifications for the Project Controls Lead
  • Primavera 106P Advanced Project Management.
  • APGM Project Planning and Controls.
  • APGM Earned Value Management.
  • APM Project Risk Management Level 2.
  • APM PMQ.
