Project Planner/Controller - INSIDE IR35 - £360 per day - WILLING TO UNDERGO SC CLEARANCE - Bristol, HYBRID - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Project Planner/Controller for a 12-month contract in Stevenage, working on security cleared projects within the defence industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering best practice Project Planning within the sector/project team.
  • Collaborating with the Business Performance Management Team and Technical Teams to develop, deploy, and manage the Primavera Integrated Plan Network.
  • Practicing, promoting, and upholding the company's Planning and Scheduling standards.
  • Analyzing progress and performance against targets, identifying variances and causes.
  • Preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
  • Establishing and maintaining the Project Schedule according to company standards.
  • Supporting the development of Planning skills within the project team.
  • Integrating work package plans into the overall project network.
  • Managing the Performance Measurement Baseline and updating plans regularly.
  • Producing and reporting project schedule data, advising on conflicts and corrective actions.
  • Managing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as required.
  • Conducting Critical Path Analysis in line with company standards.
  • Building strong relationships with engineers and project stakeholders to embed project control standards.

Skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience with Primavera and SAP PS, along with industry-standard computing applications (especially spreadsheets).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience working in a multicultural, pan-European environment.
  • Proven experience in Commercial and Financial management.
  • Proactive, assertive team player with strong negotiation skills and the ability to inspire others.
