What the role will involve
  • Ensure that projects and programmes adhere to established controls and processes
  • Maintain and update project performance analyses to ensure understanding of project financials within the Project Management community
  • Apply a consistent methodology across all programmes regarding contingency, risk and their connection to milestones
  • Support relevant bids by preparing financial analysis and applying financial acumen
  • Work with finance team to ensure correct billing and application of transactions to appropriate projects and programmes
  • Operate the monthly close routine for projects, ensuring accurate and timely information is fed into the process
  • Provide support for periodic external and internal audits, from project overview to financial reports and reconciliations
  • Adhere to all financial reporting requests and deadlines related to project transactions and reporting
  • Navigate business processes and procedures effectively
What you’ll bring
  • Qualified or Part‑Qualified Accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification
  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management, financial reporting and internal/customer reporting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the capability to interface and present with internal and external customers and to form strong business partnerships with key programme leaders
  • Self‑motivated; able to work with people at all levels of the business
  • Self‑starter who proactively solves complex problems and issues in a timely manner and with limited supervision
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and execute multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
