Programme Support Officer
3 Year FTC
This role is hybrid, involving both office and home working with travel within the community to support delivery and engagement. Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Environment Team is looking for a Programme Support Officer to help deliver our Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) programme, a key part of Greater Manchester’s 5-Year Environment Plan. You’ll support the development and delivery of SCP projects across the city-region, working with communities, schools, businesses, and local authorities to drive forward environmental priorities — from circular economy initiatives to sustainable lifestyle programmes. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, providing high-quality project support, communications, and stakeholder engagement across a fast-evolving agenda.

Hybrid working
This role is part of GMCA’s hybrid working scheme. Our policy supports flexible working patterns combining attendance at the Manchester city centre office, Fire and Rescue service HQ in Swinton, other locations, and remote working. Location is primarily dictated by business needs; you will work with your manager to regularly review the best pattern for you and the team.
The role holder will be subject to an Enhanced level check by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
