Join NHSGGC Digital Team to manage the dedicated Programme Management Office

Shift Pattern - Monday-Friday (9-5)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and coordinate the governance and delivery of digital projects across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This pivotal role will oversee the intake and triage of new project requests, ensure adherence to governance frameworks, and support the delivery of the NHS GGC Digital Delivery Plan. You will work closely with governance groups, programme boards, and delivery teams to ensure projects are initiated, managed, and closed in line with best practice and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the PMO function within the Digital Directorate, including oversight of project pipelines and resource allocation.
  • Lead the governance process for new project requests, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with NHS GGC standards.
  • Maintain and evolve project management processes, templates, and reporting tools.
  • Support governance groups.
  • Provide expert guidance to project leads and stakeholders on delivery assurance, risk management, and benefits realisation.
  • Monitor progress against the Digital Delivery Plan and elevate issues as required.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience in managing a PMO or large-scale digital programme within health or public sector.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, lifecycle management, and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with NHS governance structures and digital transformation priorities is highly desirable.
Desirable
  • PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent project/programme management certification.
  • Experience working with digital health systems and data governance.
