About The Opportunity

Our Energy Division is leading positive change and shaping the future of Clean Energy. Operating throughout the UK and continental Europe, we are expanding our team on a variety of clean energy projects across different technologies and development stages. The Programme Manager roles will support key project deliverables across our Energy Programmes portfolio, with the initial positions leading £1bn major civil projects. You will be responsible for safely delivering projects on time, to quality and budget, while driving contractor performance to prepare sites for main construction phases. Positions are based in the South‑East of England and require 4–5 days per week on site or in office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the construction delivery phase of large‑scale civil infrastructure projects (highways, rail, marine).
  • Deliver projects to time, quality and budget while collaborating to drive contractor performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, supply chain and stakeholders to ensure strategic delivery and future opportunities.
  • Create an outcome‑focused culture that provides value solutions and ensures customer success.
  • Propose and implement innovative value propositions that support customer strategy and differentiate from competition.
  • Shape customer thinking and support change programmes.
Qualifications
  • Degree level education in Civil Engineering.
  • Effective commercial/contract management and negotiation skills, with knowledge of best‑practice contract methodologies.
  • Track record of delivering large‑scale civil infrastructure projects in the construction delivery phase.
  • Leadership, collaborative and team‑working skills.
  • Experience in contractor management and supply chain.
  • Highly developed commercial skills and ability to make sound decisions on significant financial value.
  • Experience with NEC & FIDIC contract forms in power construction and major programme environments.
  • Good understanding of the UK legal and regulatory framework.
  • Experience operating at senior levels, managing internal and external stakeholders at executive level.
  • Commercial management and oversight on major nuclear programmes (£100m‑£30bn).
