Counselling, music and drama therapy, mindfulness, play andarts-based interventions are some of the many ways in which we support ourcommunities. Main duties of the job

To co-ordinate and oversee the planning and implementation marketing and evaluation of arange of designated programmes and initiatives. Manage direct reports and work closelywith all team members, to ensure the provision of responsive and effective services and theachievement of targets and outcomes within the parameters of the service specification andbudgetary constraints.

Job responsibilities

Support the service manager to ensure referrals into theservice are directed through the appropriate MHCT programme(s), meet theprogramme(s) criteria and are allocated and assessed for the most appropriatesupport across any of MHCT services/programmes.

Line management of direct reports, to oversee and evaluateemployee contribution, performance and development, ensuring they are workingto the required quality standards and set targets.

Ensure that each programme remains within the allocatedbudget and promptly report any issues to the Service Manager.

Develop and maintain procedures /systems and be accountablefor the smooth day to day running of the service and its programmes.

Where appropriate, to support the link worker with theinitial triage of referrals and allocate them to the appropriate programme(s),redirecting any referrals which do not meet programme criteria to the originalreferring or signposting to internal/external services according to need.

Undertake allocation meetings, providing clear and conciseinstruction and guidance.

Recruit service users as Service Champions and workclosely with the Service Manager to provide opportunities for them to activelycontribute to service development.

Ensure that all MHCT employed and sessional practitionersaccess and participate in regular clinical supervision.

Establish a schedule and conduct regular file audits andreport findings to the Service Manager, with improvement proposals. Provideguidance and training for direct reports, as required.

Identify programme performance criteria and develop andimplement effective monitoring system to record and measure agreed outcomes inline with Key Performance Indications (KPIs).

Propose ways in which to improve service delivery andimplement any new initiatives/changes as agreed with the Service Manager.

Attend internal/external meetings, events and training anddevelopment opportunities as directed by the Service Manager.

Support the Service Manager and participate as directed, inthe delivery of workshops and presentations to a range of internal/externalaudiences.

Ensure all required data, case studies, impact evidence,performance against KPIs and other relevant information is recorded andmaintained via the appropriate system(s) and database(s) such as CustomerRelationship Management (CRM) and evidence-based tools e.g. Outcomes Star.

Preparation of internal/external monitoring reports andsubmission to the Service Manager for Executive Management Team (EMT) sign-off.

Following triage by clinical lead to oversee the allocationof referrals to sessional counsellors/therapists/specialists according to theirskills/qualification to meet the needs of the service user.

Work closely with HR to ensure the sessionalcounsellor/therapist recruitment and onboarding process is completed inaccordance with MHCTs safer recruitment process, including professionalmembership, insurances and CPD.

Support the Service Manager in ensuring there is sufficientsessional counsellor/therapist/specialists capacity to meet service demandsand requirements.

Work in an integrated way with CAMHS Single Point of Access(SPA) service.

In consultation with the Service Manager (Clinical Lead),ensure referrals which do not meet the programme criteria are directed back toSPA for triage to the most appropriate support.
