Professional Services Engineer - the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly ambitious IT Managed Service Provider that's grown significantly both organically and via acquisition and has big plans for the future.

This role slots into a talented Project Delivery Team and has proven to be a springboard to exciting things for those who have joined. There's plenty of variety in terms of technology, clients and projects. Team members are encouraged to contribute new ideas and are supported with their own professional development.

The team is mostly focused on deliverying Microsoft-centric solutions for external customers. The role is very hands-on, requiring strong and broad technical skills. It's also very client-facing, mainly in terms of project delivery but also occasional pre-sales support,

Previous experience in an IT MSP environment is a pre-requisite for this role. The role is based in London, with hybrid working allowing two days' working from home per week.

Professional Services Engineer - responsibilities
  • Contribute to the full lifecycle of internal and external projects : design, implementation, testing, UAT, documentation, handover
  • Provide technical approval for installations, change requests, upgrades etc
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform audits of client environments and report on proposed solutions
  • Provide technical pre-sales support to the sales team when needed
  • Stay up to date on current technology and suggest it as appropriate
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members
Professional Services Engineer - requirements
  • Experience working in an IT MSP is essential
  • Excellent knowedge of Microsoft product set, preferably backed by accreditations
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills including migrations, tenant management.
  • Familiar with security solutions, such as MAR, EDR
  • Sharepoint admin and configuration skills
  • Good experience of Windows Server deployment, upgrade & maintenance
  • Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Services
