Overview

Production Technician

Location: Newport Isle of Wight
Salary: £13.84
Hours: Monday to Friday

Pertemps Recruitment is seeking a Production Technician to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This role involves assembling, testing, and calibrating electronic and mechanical components to high-quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement across the production team. The role is initially for 6 months with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test electronic, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Program and calibrate PCBs and subassemblies.
  • Inspect finished products against defined criteria.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults during manufacture.
  • Complete production and quality documentation.
  • Support process improvements and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Skills & Experience
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in production or electronic assembly.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • IPC-610, IPC-620, JSTD-001 certifications desirable but not essential.
