Job description
Overview

As a Production Technician, you will set up, run and optimise our injection moulding machines and extrusion lines, carry out tool changes, and complete first‑line maintenance to keep production running smoothly. You will complete QA checks, troubleshoot faults, and keep standards high through strong 5S and housekeeping. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working to SOPs and making a visible impact on output and quality, this is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and closely monitor injection moulding machines, making sure every component meets the required quality standards.
  • Take responsibility for starting up extrusion lines and keeping processes on track in line with SOPs.
  • Continually optimise moulding and extrusion processes, always working within agreed procedures.
  • Conduct injection mould tool changes safely and efficiently to support smooth production.
  • Keep machinery and tools in good working order through minor reactive maintenance, including oil levels and cleanliness.
  • Carry out initial QA/QC checks using gauges and equipment, interpret the results, and take corrective action when needed.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture by consistently following Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Complete and submit accurate production and performance documentation in line with SOP requirements.
  • Support a clean, organised and efficient workplace by upholding 5S standards and high levels of housekeeping.
Qualifications
  • Extensive injection moulding or extrusion process experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Able to identify and interpret the cause of extrusion & moulding faults.
  • Happy to work on a shift basis.
  • An understanding of manufacturing control.
  • A clear understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Experience with 6 Axis robot programming.
