Job description

We have a new opening for a Team Leader to join our Toppings Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organising all manufacturing operations within the area, ensuring the most effective return on assets without compromising the operation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Acting as a role model for people management practices, managing, guiding, and coaching direct reports while demonstrating best practices.
  2. Building effective relationships with management teams across the organization.
  3. Developing employee engagement across shifts and fostering an Employer of Choice culture.
  4. Streamlining and continually improving manufacturing processes.
  5. Advising and coaching Line Leaders to promote understanding and ownership of team management.
  6. Initiating plans to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
  7. Ensuring business objectives and production schedules are met, with product standards exceeding customer expectations.
  8. Establishing accountabilities for problem solving and cost reduction within departments, encouraging the use of new techniques and fact-based problem solving.
  9. Scheduling for maximum efficiency and managing budgets related to labor and materials in response to production changes.
  10. Promoting management practices that encourage employee involvement, constructive feedback, and action.
  11. Continuously improving safety records and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and GMP.

Ideally, candidates will have managerial experience in a high-volume production environment, be independent thinkers with strong leadership skills, and capable of planning and organizing work to meet deadlines with excellent communication skills.

Experience in food production is advantageous, and relevant qualifications are desirable.
