Job Description
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor and adjust plans to address changes in demand or production capacity.
- Track inventory levels and ensure optimal stock control practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Generate reports and provide updates on planning activities to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Planner should have:
- Experience in production planning, procurement, or supply chain within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in planning software or ERP systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
What’s on Offer
- Hourly pay rate of approximately £14.40 to £17.60, based on experience.
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, pro-rated for the temporary contract.
- Flexible working hours totalling 27.5 hours per week.
