A position has arisen within our cliens Supply Chain department for a temporary
Production Planner for a period of 18 months.
The Role:
The successful candidate's prime function will be to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time by implementing efficient planning of our production lines.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, key responsibilities will include:• Implementing efficient planning of our production lines in a timely manner;
• Disciplined adherence to safety systems and procedures;
• Working collaboratively with customer service and sales to strive for customer satisfaction;
• Working collaboratively with operations to promote safety & efficiency
• Inventory management (SFG & FG)
• Striving for capacity optimisation;
• Ensuring work areas are maintenance to 5S standards at all times;
• Other duties as specified by the Supply Chain Manager to support business needs as required.
The Successful Candidate:
The successful candidate will be computer literate with a good working knowledge of excel spreadsheets. A knowledge of production operations would be advantageous.
You will be a strong communicator who works well alongside others but can also work independently as required. You will be able to organise and prioritise tasks.
It is desirable that the successful candidate will have at least 5 GCSEs at a level C or above, including Mathematics.
This is a day shift position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
