Overview

Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods.

Kepak in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for Production Operators to work in our Retail section of the factory.

Working hours are 6.00am to 6.30pm - 3 days on / 3 days off.

Responsibilities
  • To follow clear operational processes and customer specifications to provide consistently high quality products
  • Understanding how your role impacts on the effective operation of the line and to identify improvements to the ways of working;
  • Adherence to Health and Safety rules and procedures, including correct wearing of issued PPE
  • Check the cuts of meat to ensure that they are in line with specifications.
  • Arrange meat in packaging, complying with display requirements.
  • Ensure that the pack weight is correct.
  • Reject any items including packaging and meats that look to be outside of our quality specifications.
  • You will be working at a fast pace and accurately checking the meat.
