Job description

Gap personnel is recruiting multiple food production Operatives to join our client’s seafood processing team based in shoeburyness.

Pay Rate:£12.21 per hour
Hours:
Variety of shiftsMonday to Sunday, varying shift times apply so will require flexible workers
Type:
Temporary – Ongoing

Shoeburyness

Key Duties:

  • Picking raw seafood products and monitoring the cleaning process
  • Carrying out quality checks on raw and cooked products.
  • Cooking raw seafood as per production requirements.
  • Operating machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Sorting and preparing cans to ensure correct processing and labelling.
  • Performing final quality checks and preparing products for dispatch by loading onto trolleys.
  • Adhering to safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
  • Cleaning down the factory at the end of the day, following strict food safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience in food production is desirable, but full training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail and good hygiene practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, chilled environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • No shellfish allergies
  • Food Hygiene & H&S training required (provided by gap personnel)
