A prominent defense contractor near Helensburgh is seeking a Production Operations Team Leader to oversee teams in delivering operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership, communication, and manufacturing knowledge, with opportunities for career development and a generous benefits package, including substantial leave and support services.
Production Operations Team Leader
Location: Coulport, near Helensburgh (Scotland - 20 minutes north of Helensburgh)
Package: Up to £50k (Dependant on experience and suitability for the role)
Working pattern: Monday - Thursday (core hours) with opportunity to increase earnings through shifts and overtime, which will include occasional weekend working and shifts over 7-days.
Please note, it is preferable that candidates have a recognised craft apprenticeship (Electrical or Mechanical) but we will also accept applications from candidates with an HND or a degree in an engineering type discipline plus relevant demonstrable experience.

The production operations Team Leader will be responsible for leading and supervising teams of operations staff to safely deliver the programme, tasks and products in line with customer requirements to time, cost and quality.
You will plan and prioritise weekly tasks as a key member of a cross-functional operational delivery team, ensuring KPIs are consistently met while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement — all delivered safely and in full compliance with quality standards, driving performance and collaboration across the wider business.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work shifts (covering 24/7 and overtime including the weekends), so it’s essential that you are flexible on working hours.
There will also be times where travel is required, both in and outside of the UK.
