Overview

Production Manager (Nights) – Tamworth – Full Time - Permanent – Up to £50,000

Job description: We are seeking an experienced & motivated Production Manager for our well established client on Amington Industrial Estate that is the market leader in its field. The company are a niche market and a strong Production background would be advantageous, this is a busy environment running over 3 sites on the industrial estate.

The role would be suitable for a strong leader who is looking for their next step up in their career!

Night shift 4.30PM - 3AM Monday to Thursday (4 day working week!!)

1 in 4 Fridays are worked a shift of 4.30PM - 1AM

Responsibilities
  • Promotes and manages a health and safety culture across site. Ensuring all activities on site comply with H&S regulations and guidelines. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all product produced on and leaving site meets the agreed quality standards
  • Ensure site is running at maximum efficiency and fully achieving production plans
  • Ensure site is running in line with budget requirements and targets
  • Working with all departments across the business to instill and develop a continuous improvement ethic that focuses on driving down cost and improving quality
  • Maintains a high level of employee motivation by working closely with all employees to develop a highly communicative team where employees are made fully aware of business performance and activities. Also ensure any issues or problems either personal or work related are supported and resolved.
  • Lead and champion projects that deliver improvements to site performance and employee engagement
  • Create and present reports detailing site performance to all team members across all levels of the business structure
  • Lead and champion Root cause analysis projects to ensure any quality issues are resolved with a permanent fix put in place.
  • Drive KPI's into production using them to identify and improve production trends.
  • Ensure material stocks are managed and used effectively
  • Maintain Manufacturing compliance to standards including a clean, safe environment for all employees
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Leader/Manager or relevant role leading a team focused on manual processes
  • Familiarity with company policies, legal guidelines, and Health & Safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong background in Lean and continuous improvement
  • Proven experience of driving through successful improvement and change management projects
  • Proven experience of root cause analysis and putting permanent fixes in place.
  • Ability to interpret and understand KPI's and data
Desirable Skills
  • ILM level 3 in Leadership and Management
  • COSHH and risk assessment trained
