Job Title – Production Manager

Job Location – Belfast

Salary – Based on Experience

About the Company:

A leading Manufacturing company based in Belfast are currently on the lookout for Production Manager required for a growing manufacturing business.

You will be working with a successful Food Manufacturing business who pride themselves on providing a high-quality service to customers and staff where you will be responsible for managing a large team to meet the requirements of production plan and overseeing any issues.

Duties Include:

• All Health & safety policy & procedures are adhered to, by self and the team.
• Lead and drive a health & safety culture in the production team.
• Everything is manned and supervised at the required levels at all times to meet safely & quality standards and to meet production targets.
• Development and agreement of KPI’s with the Operations Director and subsequent delivery thereof.
• Production planning is optimised for dispatch performance and efficiency.
• Close co-ordination with Logistics, Nutrition and Customer Service function regarding scheduling & meeting customer needs. Dealing directly with hauliers as required.
• Effective communication with employees, clients, hauliers and customers and at shift changeover.
• Effective and efficient co-ordination with engineering team re prioritisation of maintenance, plant downtime & PM.
• Take a lead role with respect to trials and improvement projects and ensure employees are released to participate in lean and continuous improvement activities.
• Quality standards and quality tests are managed as required.
• Ensure all hygiene policy & procedures are adhered to and all contamination policy & procedures are adhered to.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
• A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
• Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
• Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
• Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment
