We have teamed up with a leading manufacturer of material handling solutions and currently have a job opening for a Production Associate

THIS POSITION:

We are seeking a Production Associate; A production associate works in the manufacturing area and ensures production processes and their outcomes meet established standards. While production workers typically work on an assembly line to produce and assemble specific components, production associates also oversee the manufacturing process and focus on the finished products.

Responsibilities
  • The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee must perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities the supervisor requests. Job duties may change as required by the needs of the company.
  • Set up and operate production tooling and equipment to achieve nominal standards of performance in quality and productivity.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices established within the work segment.
  • Contribute to overall team performance by taking initiative and/or direction from supervision and/or fellow production associates to switch job assignments as dictated by job rotation, cross-training, production schedules, and product mix.
  • Work a flexible schedule (to include overtime) to accommodate customer requirements for increased demand or improved delivery.
  • Utilize lean production methods such as continuous flow, visual production, waste elimination, cycle-time awareness, and standard work instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement or Kaizen projects and meetings as directed.
  • Assemble a variety of products and sub-assemblies using complex drawings or blueprints as reference sources.
  • Perform test of final product utilizing test panels and customer-specified set-up; troubleshoot failures and direct rework
  • Pack a variety of moderate to heavy parts or products in standard boxes, crates, or other containers.
  • Operate forklift, power equipment, or pallet jack to move material, parts, or products.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the job; document all activities as required.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, or system.
  • Comply with 5s discipline to ensure that the immediate work area and all machines, tools, instruments, parts, and products are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
  • Train other employees and/or temporary workers on production assignments and equipment as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess at least two years of similar or related experience.
  • Possess basic production mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret a variety of machine gauges, monitors, and electronic instrument panels required in the set-up and production of products.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bar graphs, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
  • Possess teamwork and strong interpersonal skills. Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all Interroll employees in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.
  • Possess the ability to utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
Physical Demands

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle; the employee must regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration. The noise level in this environment is usually loud.
