Preco is now hiring for a Full-Time Production Assistant Supervisor for the Weekend Night Shift in Somerset, WI.

The Assistant Supervisor would have all production personnel on that shift as direct reports. These groups will support multiple markets. Responsible for training and motivating employees. Ensure team meets quality, production and efficiency goals. The Assistant Supervisor is to be a point of contact for anyone on shift for questions or direction as well as work with the department Supervisor on issues, nightly status updates, and ideas to improve efficiency.

Preco is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision automated processing systems for high-speed and high-accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, and other specialized industrial processing applications. With our proprietary die cutting and laser-based manufacturing capabilities, Preco has also become one of the largest contract manufacturing service (CMS) providers in North America.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all personnel are aware of and follow Preco safety protocols.
2. Follow the manufacturing schedule as defined by Scheduler. Contact Sr. Production Supervisor for adjustments to maintain efficiency.
3. Coordinate work assignments with Scheduler and Sr. Production Supervisor.
4. Identify training needs for personnel on shift and communicate needs to the Sr. Production Supervisor.
5. Execute the CMS production schedule for optimum production efficiency and on time delivery.
6. Strive to manufacture all product to meet specifications and stop production if specifications are not met.
7. Engage with Sr. Production Supervisor to analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate.
8. Identify process and procedure problems that negatively affect quality and efficiency. Work with CMS team, Engineering, and Quality to resolve problems and continuously improve process.
9. Responsible for checking and retrieving materials, tools, information and other items for members of the shift in order to keep machines running efficiently, and without quality defects.
10. Develop/implement growth and development plans for personnel. This includes daily feedback and annual reviews.
11. Responsible for meeting all SQF (Safe Quality Foods), quality and customer requirements for this position.
12. Verify that orders are complete, documentation is complete and accurate, parts are packed and labeled, properly report time and quantity correctly and ready to be shipped (all paperwork is filled out complete and correctly)
13. Assure production team is performing line clean out and work cell clean up prior to next job.
14. Responsible for facility lock up and shutdown of unused laser systems.
15. Responsible for employees that are in the building during an emergency (i.e. fire, tornado, etc.).
16. Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role or team lead experience responsible for staff in an automated production equipment environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

· Associate Degree or course work in Management, Business, or Leadership.

· Working knowledge of quality management system (QMS), international organization for standardization (ISO), and SQF.

· Exposure to or completion of formal business courses beyond the high school level.
