Job summary

A global engineering and manufacturing leader in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee a team and manage quality processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within engineering or manufacturing, with expertise in ISO 9001:2015 and investigative techniques. This position offers a salary between £60,000 and £65,000 with additional benefits including flexible working hours and a generous pension scheme.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Quality Manager within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading teams of between 10-30 members.
  • Deep understanding of investigative techniques (8D, A3 and DMAIC) and performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall quality resources and prioritize workloads.
  • Lead and govern the ISO 9001:2015 management system.
  • Evaluate and develop quality SOPs and documentation.
  • Promote quality best practice throughout the organisation.
  • Deploy APQP, PPAP, FMEA across multiple projects.
  • Lead investigations into product defects and identify corrective actions.
  • Monitor and develop programme-related KPIs.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing Quality Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall quality resources, including a team of around 30 engineers, to prioritise workloads across multiple projects and processes.
  • Lead and govern the ISO 9001:2015 management system, customer, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and develop quality SOPs and documentation.
  • Promote quality best practice throughout the organisation.
  • Deploy APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Quality assurance across multiple projects and programmes.
  • Lead 8D, A3 and DMAIC investigations into product defects and near misses to identify corrective and preventative actions.
  • Monitor and develop programme‑related KPI’s.
  • Coach and develop a high‑performing Quality Operations team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience as a Quality Manager within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading teams of between 10-30 members.
  • Deep understanding of investigative techniques (8D, A3 and DMAIC) and the ability to monitor performance indicators.
  • The drive and consistency to deliver change within an established business.
Salary & Benefits
  • £60,000 to £65,000 plus annual bonus depending on experience and performance.

  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension contributions of up to 8%.
