We embraced hybrid and flexible working early and provide support, encouragement and training to help you thrive, whether you work across FS and Asset Management tax teams or specialize in operational taxes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge across operational taxes and related areas.
  • Support the management of client relationships and projects and act as the focal point of contact for clients within operational taxes.
  • Understand our client’s business and collaborate with KPMG teams to identify opportunities for operational tax and other services.
  • Develop and advise on cutting‑edge client propositions.
  • Participate in business development and proposal activity.
  • Collaborate with KPMG teams across the UK and globally to deliver the highest quality operational tax support.
  • Work with technology teams to build new client propositions, take them to market, and develop delivery models that ensure top‑tier service quality.
  • Advocate for KPMG and the operational taxes team and help grow the business through the delivery of relevant, high‑quality services.
Qualifications
  • Evidence of deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services—such as a qualification in tax, audit, finance, law, regulation, or significant practical experience from an industry role.
  • Practical experience of dealing with operational taxes within a financial services context, including industry or professional services exposure.
  • Understanding of financial markets, participants, investors (e.g., banks, brokers, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, private equity) and products.
  • Good knowledge of at least one of: withholding tax, transaction tax, information reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI), qualified intermediary, or international tax principles.
  • Excellent project management, delegation/coaching, and client‑facing delivery skills.
  • Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and the ability to combine this knowledge with evolving tax regulations.
