PRODUCT DESIGN LEAD – DESIGN SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

An exciting opportunity for a seasoned Product Designer with a passion for design systems and UI optimisation to lead the charge in shaping a unified, scalable experience for a well-established SaaS platform. This fully remote role sits within a high-performing squad focused on improving performance, scalability, and user experience, and offers the chance to build something truly foundational that impacts the wider mission-driven tech business.

Responsibilities

• A design lead who’s evolved into design ops and systems work, with hands-on experience owning scalable component libraries
• Wrangle inconsistency, spot inefficiencies and build order through design in messy environments
• Define core UX patterns and make confident decisions that balance short-term improvement and long-term vision
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product partners day-to-day to ensure systems are implemented and adopted successfully
• Be a detail-obsessed UI specialist, motivated by the small stuff and driven to create a cohesive design language that scales

What you\'re great at

• Systems thinker and Figma expert, skilled in building scalable component libraries, streamlining UI patterns, ensuring accessibility, and partnering closely with engineers to implement consistent, efficient design solutions
• Building and maintaining component libraries in Figma, with experience linking these to real components
• Leading UI audits, pattern consolidation and design clean-up, driving consistency across complex product surfaces
• Collaborating with front-end engineers to implement and refine system components across platforms
• Working in agile teams alongside PMs & engineers to establish a cohesive design language
