Job description

Want to join a team of passionate people who want to build a future where no one dies from skin cancer?

👋 About us

Skin Analytics is an award-winning, health tech company that works with dermatology teams to deploy world‑leading skin cancer pathways using AI as a medical device, DERM.

Following our recent £15M series B funding round and regulatory milestones, we’re ready to scale internationally, making history for AI in healthcare and the future of dermatology.

We’re proud to epitomise AI for good – with a Class III CE mark, DERM is the only AI as a medical device approved to make clinical decisions autonomously in the cancer space, as well as being the first company to receive a NICE recommendation for use across the NHS.*

DERM is deployed at more than 25 NHS organisations where we’re supporting dermatology teams to build sustainable services that enable patients to gain quicker access to skin cancer diagnosis. If that’s not enough, we also collaborate with some of the largest health insurers to reach patients in their own homes.

We are a team of passionate people on a mission to build a future where no one dies from skin cancer.

🏢 London based – Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

🔎 As the Product Designer you will help shape intuitive, safe, and scalable product experiences that support our mission to transform how people access dermatology services. You’ll play a key role in clarifying user needs, simplifying complex workflows, and ensuring our products are easy to use and consistent across touchpoints. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical and Operations teams, you’ll bring structure, insight, and high‑quality design craft to a fast‑moving, collaborative, and safety‑critical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of product experiences and features from discovery through to developer‑ready specifications.
  • Run or support collaborative sessions (e.g., problem framing, journey mapping, sketching, prototyping) to drive clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Create user journeys, service maps, and interaction flows that reflect real‑world needs, pain points, and operational constraints.
  • Prototype and iterate solutions using user feedback, data insights, and guided testing.
  • Establish and maintain design patterns and guidelines to improve consistency, usability, and implementation quality.
  • Ensure designs anticipate edge cases and support safe, reliable use in complex workflows.
  • Contribute to evolving design practices and frameworks that make global expansion faster, more consistent, and more user‑centred.
☑️ We want to hear from you if you
Have experience in:
  • Strong end‑to‑end product design experience (minimum 5 years).
  • You are a generalist by design – you’re comfortable owning the end‑to‑end process: from organising and conducting user research, to service and product design, to UI.
  • Ability to design within complex, multi‑step workflows and translate ambiguity into structured solutions.
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams, facilitating discussions, and building shared understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance pace with rigour, designing for both the “happy path” and critical edge cases.
  • You’ve designed in regulated industries and understand how to bring clarity and usability to complex, data‑heavy systems.
  • Organised and execution‑focused: you turn ideas into action and deliver results, ruthlessly prioritising for impact.
  • Experience running or contributing to research activities such as interviews, usability testing, or insight synthesis.
Nice to have (but we can teach you)
  • Experience designing for healthcare, regulated industries, or other safety‑critical environments.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
