A not-for-profit purchasing consortium in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks an experienced Procurement professional to lead procurement processes in the public sector. The role is a full‑time position based within the North East of England. Part‑time applications will be considered.
Successful applicants must travel regularly to clients’ premises in the North East and work onsite with educational clients to deliver a comprehensive procurement and tendering service. Travel to other locations may be required.
As part of Crescent Managed Services, you will lead procurement processes for a range of categories, including facilities, estates, finance, curriculum and ICT, and other projects and services. You will embed best practice, ensure compliance with UK procurement regulations and legislation, and help achieve cost savings.
You will report to the Procurement Manager and provide proactive procurement advice to all levels of personnel, managing relationships between clients and suppliers.
